To protect your clothes, put an old towel around your shoulders.

Please put on the high quality gloves provided.

1 How to prepare Maxton

Squeeze the required amount of color into a non-metallic bowl.

Add the corresponding amount of MAXTON cream developer and stir well, using a tint brush.

Continue until the mixture is of a homogenous consistency.

2&3 How to apply Maxton

First application

(Ideal for first time colorers or if you want to change your color)

Comb your hair thoroughly so that there are no tangles.

Apply the color mass in sections and distribute evenly to the hair.

To obtain the best result, leave the color mass on the hair for 30 minutes.

Regrowth application

(Ideal to cover new growth after 4-6 weeks)

We recommend this application if you already been permanently colored and new growth is beginning to show. In about 4-6 weeks the hair grows about 1-2 centimeters and should be retouched as follows:

Comb your hair thoroughly so that there are no tangles.

Make partings and apply approximately ¾ of the mixture to the new growth at the roots.

Leave the color on for 20 minutes. Apply the rest of the color mass. Distribute evenly to the hair and leave for a further 10 minutes.

4 Rinsing

After completion of the development time, emulsify the color mass with a little water and rinse out thoroughly until the water runs clear.

Shampooing is not neccessary.

5 Conditioning

Gently massage the Care Balm into your damp hair, leave on for approx. 2-3 minutes and carefully rinse your hair again.

Grey hair:
Vibrant red shades should not be used if you have a high percentage of grey hair. The color result will be more intense and vibrant than the carton color grid depicts.
Permed hair:
You should wait for a period of one week before using Maxton. With permed hair the development time should generally be reduced by 5-10 minutes. Otherwise the color result could be more intensive and darker. As perming causes fading, you should color your hair after perming.
Lighter hair:
If your original hair color is very dark and you want a very light result, you should pre-lighten your hair with a Hair Bleaching product.
Thick and long hair:
If your hair is very thick or long we suggest you use two packages of Maxton.
